JJ has a giant craniopharyngiomas cystic brain tumor, and due to its complexity the doctors decided to insert a valve inside his head in order to drain the fluid and decrease the pressure that the tumor is causing inside the brain and avoid a possible brain decompression.
Needless to say that my son is in great pain every time that he is exposed to this procedure which is not only very painful but also very risky.

I have to mention that the doctors that are NOW taking care of JJ are very optimistic and enthusiastic and are doing their best so he can get well again and end with this nightmare, even though they have mentioned they difficulty of the case since they have never seen something like this before. I also want to mention that at work I have had a great support from my employer. Both for hospital expenses and for the time needed to take him to his hospital appointments.
